I am looking to opening up a reseller hosting business very soon and am looking for some answers from those who have done it before.

1. Should I form an LLC before signing up for my reseller account? Is this best practice and will I need to do so before I sell any hosting packages? (FYI, I have a couple people already wanting to purchase from me).
2. I'm picking HG for my reseller host because of their reputation for support. I need them to handle the support 24/7. How do my customers contact them for support? I'm assuming email and instatn chat are options, but is phone support also available and if so is it truly transparent?
3. Should I also list a local number on my site even though I want to have HG handle support issues and some presales questions?

Resellers must support their own customers - HG only provides support to you, NOT your customers.

Some others may be able to better answer question #1. I feel talking to someone like your lawyer or accountant would be the best person to answer such a question since it pertains particularly to your specific situation.

HG will not support your customers -- you must act as the middleperson. They contact you and you contact HG. If you'd like support for your customers, you'll have to find another host that does such or find some third party company that will offer support for your customers.
