Default Pre-Sales Question

Last time I checked (long time ago) you guys use "ThePlanet" aka 'Softlayer" for your datacenter. Is this still the case?

I am a small fry (having 1-4 dedicated servers over the years, down to 1 at the moment because the economy sucks for everyone) customer of Server Matrix aka The Planet aka Softlayer, for the last 15 years. This latest merger has feed me up enough and shopping around for a new dedicated server provider. I've always been a great supporter of them (and their network is great) but the company treatment of customers and the damn nickle/dime'ing us like a Bank of America Bank has got me feed up.

So I am hoping you either still don't do business with them OR if you do, that I am at least insulated from their piss poor customer relationship policies being that your big enough of a customer to "matter" to them still.

p.s. Reading the TOS, I noticed resource restrictions. Were those for non-dedicated server accounts.

Thank you for your inquiry. We do still certainly work with Softlayer as our data-center. I'm sorry to hear you've had troubles in the past with them, however I can assure you we do offer one of the highest levels of customer service and support available in the hosting industry currently.

Regarding the resource restrictions noted in the Terms of Service Section 7., those would apply directly to our shared and reseller offerings. Not the dedicated servers which allow you unrestricted use of all available server resources. Feel free to contact me here on the forums if you have any other concerns. I'm more then happy to discuss this further with you.

I do understand your concerns with the economy currently and am happy to make sure you're confident in your decision to do business with us.
