Hi, I'm considering opening an account with you for my new site. I am planning on running a double-opt-in ezine, I'm not 100% confident in my understanding of the technical issues but I believe the following things are important to prevent blacklisting by other ISP's and mail providers. Can you please confirm whether hostgator can offer the following:
1. A dedicated IP address for the sending domain of the mail (understandbly this may be at extra cost) 2. Reverse DNS look up of the IP address. 3. The ability to publish the appropriate email policy records in the zone file for the domain. 4. Protection against cross-domain forgery - as in one user forging the domain of another user within the same network. This requires secure login through port 587, as opposed to open port 25 access. 5. Do you offer the functionality to refuse emails to non-existant addresses at the smtp server level (rather than a reply?) 6. The ability to receive all bounce-backs sent to the 'envelope address' so that as a user I can examine the reason for the bounce-back. 7. RFC compliant email Thanks in advance for your quick and detailed response.
