I would have thought it would be gone by now as well; there must be a reason or they have too many reports to deal with and we are low on that line at the moment... Weird.

Anyway, it is 9:51 AM. Contemplating whether I should purchase the reseller now and setup all that needs to be setup including paid packages, the forum, etc, or whether I should wait until the website design and coding is finished...

Any ideas?

Well you have been quite eager so I say go for it now and start the many steps that need to be done to get ready. That way when the design is done, you will be ready That is unless the design won't be ready for months

That's what I thought of as well. I am so eager and want to get it now, but I just wanted to think ahead and see whether everything will fall into place at the right time and when it is needed. People hate seeing 'Under construction' messages everywhere. I want to avoid that and have content ready-made so that when we introduce the hosting service to the world, we are ready for any issues that surface.

In regards to the design; it will be finished at a maximum of two weeks. I think that that is quite good even if I purchase the reseller now don't you think?

Thanks gtgeorge, you really are a helpful member and I look forward to speaking with you more once I am a customer of HostGator. I wouldn't mind adding you to MSN Messenger and/or Skype if you have them, so please let me know if you use them. If you don't want it to go public then once I am a customer, you can send me a PM with the details.

I thank everyone who has helped me so far. Everything said in this topic has allowed me to gain a better knowledge of this business and it will not be forgotten. Hopefully the topic stays alive for those who need to use it, as well as myself; except I will have to change the topic title to 'Long-term customer'.

Anyways, it is 2:48 AM my time, so I will purchase the reseller in the morning. Thanks very much everyone and I shall speak to you soon!

Note: One more question; if I ever want to upgrade my reseller to the next package, is there a discount of some sort?

Thanks again!

Not exactly sure what you mean... but no, no discounts.... only coupons when signing up originally.

Where do I get these coupons again?

What I mean is this; I will be purchasing the Aluminium reseller package first. If I ever run out of disk space and bandwidth and need more to support more customers, then I would purchase the Copper reseller package. Is there a discount on the first month or first three months because I was previously a customer and just needed a little bit more space?

No, you'll just get charged the standard monthly fee for the plan you choose.

Oh ok, thanks very much slapshotw. I appreciate the quick reply. Can anyone link me to the coupons page again please? Someone linked me before on this topic but I can't seem to find the actual post...

Thanks!

I wonder, should Gary wait a bit for the November update or just go with the October ones?

Oh yeah, very true Ranti84, thank you very much for reminding me about that... Will the November coupons be the exact same as the October coupons? Or will they differ slightly?

If you look over the link you will see they haven't changed since being added. So I would doubt they would change I wasn't aware they were for anything but shared hosting though.

That's something I am going to have to ask in the live chat now then. And that is true as well gtgeorge; they haven't changed since being added...

Maybe a question for staff to answer; will the coupons ever change every month or will they stay the same?

They work for any order -- any hosting...

No, they don't change often (not monthly anyways)... I'm pretty sure the one a used earlier in the year is the same as when I first signed up two and a half years ago...

I just spoke to a member of staff via live chat and he confirmed that they are for all hosting packages.

He also says that he doubts it will be changed as it has been the same coupon offered for quite a number of months. Thanks kmaw for letting me know as well. Due to some problems with my card and my bank, I haven't bought the reseller package yesterday or today, but I will forsure be buying it come Sunday or Monday.

I am looking forward to it and can't wait to have everything set up and ready!
