Default Pointing domain name to web site/ A record

I've transfered my domain name matagordadunes.com to Host Gator. I'm having trouble pointing domain name to website. I'm sure its basic newbie problem but I've not been able to figure it out yet. Ive run DNSstuff.com report and it comes up with:

"ERROR: I couldn't find any A records for www.matagordadunes.com. But I did find a referral to dns1.name-services.com. (and maybe others). If you want a website at www.matagordadunes.com, you will need an A record for www.matagordadunes.com. If you do not want a website at www.matagordadunes.com, you can ignore this error."

How do I create A record?

You don't need to do that.
You need to change the nameservers of your domain to point to HostGator's nameservers.
Those nameservers you find in the HostGator welcome email.

At the Registrar where you purchased the domain names, look for a feature to "Park" your additional domains on the primary domain.

Or you can point them to your nameservers in your welcome email and go to cPanel and park them

Another option is to see if your registrar offers a URL redirect...

If they do, it's fairly simple to set the other two domains to automatically redirect to your primary address.
