Explain, what index file, html or php?
All directories should have an index file so it will not show all the files. ![]()

Well, I am not going to tell you delete the index file, because if your blog program stops working, you didn't get it from me.
![]() But if you need to make corrections to the dir, you can either use Cpanel (FTP Manager), or a FTP program. Just watch what you delete, make a backup of any file before you delete. |

Usually (My experience with WordPress) - you log into the adminsite, then delete the first entry.
Check the documentation or support pages for whatever blog you're using. |

I got this on my frony page: Tue Nov 08, 2005 Welcome to pMachine! This is an example weblog entry. We added it as a place-holder, so the page wouldn't be blank. You can delete it from within your control panel. More... What file do i delete thru cpanel in order to get to the post page? |

It doesn't mean cPanel, it means the pMachine control panel.
If you installed pMachine to www.yoursite.com/blog/ then you login to the control panel in www.yoursite.com/blog/pm/ Hopefully you remember your admin username & password
