If you have a dedicated server, you probably can. Other than that, I wouldn't know.
But I do know that since the servers here are managed, that might cause some conflicts with support not being able to assist you. |

I see. okay... plesk just looks so user friendly. The W panel is not easy to unserstand if you've never used it. I'm not that savvy with a computer, so the plesk looked very wysiwyg, and ideal for me to use.

I wouldn't take my word for it, I was just making a guess. Someone that knows more about it would be able to tell you for sure.

One of my previous hosts had Plesk, and I hated it. It was Plesk 7 though, not the current version, 8.

To be honest, even if you have a dedicated server, using Plesk might not be an option with HostGator. They don't support Plesk, so it would be a problem for their staff to maintain your system.
If Plesk is a "must have" for you, you should go with a host that uses it, not HG. You will find that cPanel does everything that Plesk does. They are all about the same and I don't suspect you will spend a whole lot of time at the control panel. |
