I've been with Hostgator for about a year, called for help twice and was very happy with the service. The support staff were very helpful and pleasant. Thank you!
However, I have one question. I'd like to start recommending Hostgator to others, but I get hung up on the cost of registering a domain. Here the price is $15.00, but elswhere it can be less than $10.00. I know that in the end, it's a difference of only a few dollars a year, but my friends and clients have inquired about it. I honestly don't really know what to tell them, except that it is easier to pay only one company, as opposed to more than one (host and domain). So my questions is, will the price ever come down, and if not, what does the $15.00 offer that $9.99 doesn't? Thank you. |

Good morning,
That is a very valid question. Right now we resell domains through Enom, that is why the price is $15. In our newsletter this month we announced that we are starting our own registrar, and are finishing the final touches on it as we speak. We plan to have better prices than GoDaddy, so yes that $15 will be slightly lower. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me and I will be glad to work with you. Thank you!
