Hello,
Just something that would make cPanel more user friends and prevent costly errors (yes, I know we should all be double-checking things anyway but). Within cPanel, depending on what action you want to do, sometimes it happens immediately and sometimes it prompts you for a 'second' verification for the action to confirm you want to do it. An example where the former happens, and where it would be useful to have a second 'confirm' option is when deleting MySQL databases, as you just click delete and it happens, no double-check. But for e-mail, you get a confirmation prompt when deleting an account. Just a bit of consistency here please. I understand this might be difficult if there are restrictions on the modification of the product due to licensing, but it would be great to see implemented. H. |

Personally I would hate to see this happen, if something has a confirmation there is usually a good reason.
For example on many occasions I’ve been working in file manager, and I want to change permissions (an example) and by accident I have clicked delete file, luckily for me it sends it to the trash so I can restore it, but if it didn't I would be screwed. I'd rather have a confirmation taking half a second click when I want to delete something, than not and have it accidentally deleted when I don't. Regards, Steve Xx

Put a request for it @ www.cpanel.net

I think that is what the poster wanted to happen, to have more of these screens come up and to bring up the consistancy.

Thanks. Yes, I deleted a MySQL database the other day, deleted without even asking if I was sure. Now on this occasion i was, but consider this: I'm partially sighted, use magnification software to read the screen. Narrower field of view, how easy could it be to accidentally delete the wrong database, say, for my site's articles or store items? that's just one example.
I'll certainly put it to cpanel.net, thanks for the link. And i would urge other members to do so too - it's little things like this that make the software more user-friendly and improve user confidence, both in themselves and in the software. Sorry, just finished a nine month long group software development project, so am still a bit fired up about it and in that frame of mind ![]() H. |

Yeah i'm also going to put in the suggestion to cpanel soon.
I always have an up-to-date backup of everything stored on my local comp anyway - but it would just make life easier not to delete somthing by accident in the first place and have to restore it. Regards, Steve Xx
