I can't find the exact post... but it was done long ago... approx. May 2008.

We actually migrated php 5.2.6 to 5.2.8 on Dec 15 2008 for this server but yes, it was done sometime earlier this year to 5.2.6 for the default:

Wow, really?! That is great news, I was fully expecting my site to be broken once that happened as I am using an older version of Zen Cart. I am using the .htaccess file to make my site use PHP4 instead of PHP5, is PHP4 going to be completely removed from the server at some point, or will it be left for awhile?

PHP4 will be gone completely at some point, so it's important to start checking with php5.
