Default PHP Upgrades :: 4.4.1

All servers running older versions of php would be upgraded to php 4.4.1 over the next couple of days. Any issues with scripts or errors arising out of this should be directed to support@hostgator.com .

We are starting with the shared servers for the upgrade today.

Does this upgrade include dedicated servers?
Mine currently runs 4.3.11

Don't know if any other users are having problems with Php / mySQL but my installation of PhpGedView at http://genealogy.neiljacklin.com/phpgedview is suddenly throwing lots of Php / mSQL errors. I have run this installation (I think the latest stable version) for some time without any problem. Therefore I suspect it could be the Php upgrades.

Anyone else experiencing problems?

Fixed the problem.
Phpgedview problem is a known issue with Php 4.1.1. Various fixes for function(s).php and session.php depending on version of PhpGedView.

A couple of rarely used sites that run Moodle and SMF have developed php errors. The Moodle error is in the overall header. The SMF forum won't even load.

I will try the new version of Moodle that was just announced. I was planning to go back to phpbb2 anyway. It is more relialble than and has a better user interface than SMF anyway.

Can we get a status update on this? Far more than a few days, it's been a few weeks now. It seems that skyline, at least, is still running v4.3.10.

Thanks.

I e-mailed support and asked them to update this thread after my last post. They didn't, but they did upgrade PHP on skyline, and I neglected to update the thread myself. You might wish to try that approach.

Thank you for that response.

HostGator quickly performed the upgrade when I sent an email to support.
