All servers running older versions of php would be upgraded to php 4.4.1 over the next couple of days. Any issues with scripts or errors arising out of this should be directed to support@hostgator.com .
We are starting with the shared servers for the upgrade today.

Don't know if any other users are having problems with Php / mySQL but my installation of PhpGedView at http://genealogy.neiljacklin.com/phpgedview is suddenly throwing lots of Php / mSQL errors. I have run this installation (I think the latest stable version) for some time without any problem. Therefore I suspect it could be the Php upgrades.
Anyone else experiencing problems? |

Fixed the problem.
Phpgedview problem is a known issue with Php 4.1.1. Various fixes for function(s).php and session.php depending on version of PhpGedView. Check out the forum: http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?forum_id=185166 |

A couple of rarely used sites that run Moodle and SMF have developed php errors. The Moodle error is in the overall header. The SMF forum won't even load.
I will try the new version of Moodle that was just announced. I was planning to go back to phpbb2 anyway. It is more relialble than and has a better user interface than SMF anyway. Jeff Last edited by jlgreer1; 11-19-2005 at 09:13 PM. |

Can we get a status update on this? Far more than a few days, it's been a few weeks now. It seems that skyline, at least, is still running v4.3.10.
Thanks. |

I e-mailed support and asked them to update this thread after my last post. They didn't, but they did upgrade PHP on skyline, and I neglected to update the thread myself. You might wish to try that approach.

Thank you for that response. HostGator quickly performed the upgrade when I sent an email to support.

I think for myself not to try to go there for a while(php6). I had issue that if I use php5 that some script while not work the same like, I think of, global register...
