Default PHP / eNom API project ~ Please Help!

Please help with integrating the eNom API into one of my HG websites.
I have my own eNom re-seller account and need to add
the API search and register tool to one of my websites. Has
anyone on this board already been through this? I would greatly
appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you.

Craig

Hi Craig

Most of the people including HG avoid integrating any API for domain registration.

Reason is there are to many stolen credit card going around and if a stolen card is used for the purchase and the money refunded to the original owner of the card you will still site with the bill to pay for the domain.

Just integrate a domain search tool and get your customers to order and pay for the domain. Once you are happy the order id legit you can manually order and configure the domain.

For domain lookups you can use the free billing/hosting software available from HG

I believe the Enom API now allows for a 24 hour refund on newly registered domains? This would help somewhat with the fraud.

As for the setup, I have not tried to write something using the API as we use WHMCS which uses the API to register and manage several management functions. So sorry can't help with it.

Hi Fred,

Thank you. Are you referring to WHM AutoPilot as the solution?

Hi George,

I"m not sure what you mean by WHMCS? Could you tell me more about it or send me a link to read how it works. I may wish to use a system like you are.

Thanks, Craig

Yes I am referring to WHM AutoPilot.
WHMCS is another billing software package that does the same but is not available for free. http://www.whmcs.com/

Personally I use AutpPilot. My company is small and I mostly provide hosting to my web customers.

Did not know that, but I think I will stick with manual registration anyway.

WHMCS and HG are in talks whereas HG may offer it in the future. For now you have to pay for it. There is a couple places to get it discounted. If interested pm me and I will send a link.

As rota919 said the whmap is free just go to http://www.hostgator.com/autopilot.php
They will send license for v2 which is covered with hg support or you can request v3 and get support via autopilot forums and support....or here at times
