PHP 5 and GMP Support?

I remember reading a thread about all of the shared server being upgraded to PHP 5. Until my server is upgrade (gator99), I would like to have PHP 5 manually configured for use. I remember doing this before but I can't seem to recall how I did.

I also need the GMP extension for PHP 5 as I use an OpenID plugin for WordPress. It doesn't seem to function properly without it.
