I am getting a permission denied erro after chmoding a dir to 777 recursively.
i cant get in now at all. i own it, my group is gid, i tried changing it back to 700. it does work. i am completely locked out. whats up with this? jailed shell issue? ~/public_html/xtremerc/vanilla]$ chmod --recursive 600 ./conf/ chmod: `./conf/': Permission denied i cant cd to it or anyhting. |

Try 755 instead.

Any of the HG servers will require 755 instead of 777 because of how they're configured, they serve the same purpose and 755 is more secure.
