Question paid domain name?

Hi, i just opened up a reseller account and bought my domain name from hostgator for the hosting site, and can only see this "keylime" website with my domain name for that sites logo. I'm am not a newb, just confused on what this is. My question is, is this a "default" website while my domain name is being propagated? I can view my hosting site at the http://yourip/~username, and a blank c-panel webpage at my direct ip address. But my domain name will only go to the "keylime" websearch website with my domain name for it's title. Any help to this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I believe that is just a default page that your Domain is pointing to until it propagates fully.

Smile Re: paid domain name?

Thanks for the reply Itrump. I hope that is the case, i really don't want to have to re-register my nameservers and have it take an additional 24-48 hours.
So far from what i've seen hostgator does sell a pretty good service, and i like everything so far, except for the current situation with the domain name.

(sorry about not being registered, but i haven't been "added" yet.)

Exclamation Re: paid domain name?

O.K. it was just a temporary site, my domain points to my hosting site now.
now that evrything is up and running i have a question for the other resellers about my new site.
As of right now i'm using a default template, but i have recently aquired a hi-tech hosting template, and was wondering if you all would voice your opinon on this new template. The template is not re-configured yet, before i upload it i want to make sure it isn't too "intence" for general customers. This is a link to a web-test server that i use to pre-test everything i make or aquire.
The question i pose is: do you think this template is "overkill" for a hosting service? (espeacially the intro!)

you have to register by yourself. Then you ask to have access to extra subforuns.

Other than the flash taking way too long to load, its pretty cool. I am not a big "flashy" type person, so it wouldnt matter to me if you had a flash site or a basic xhtml site.

If you were able to reduce the amount of time it takes for your site to load 100% (it took 30 seconds with me having a cable connection), then I am sure it would be pretty good. Although, you may lose the dial-up customers if they arent able to load your site quick enough.

If you are doing nothing but hosting, I personally would get rid of the flash. If you are doing hosting and website development, I would show of the flash somewhere else so that your customers have a choice whether or not they want to wait for the flash to load.

These are just my opinions and the way I look at surfing webpages.

Yeah, i allready registered and have recieved an e-mail stating that i'm still in the moding que to be added to the forum. The same thing keeps poping up everytime i try to log-in. I'm thinking it may take awhile because i saw a thread a mile long on this topic where some people had waited a month before they were "added".

Itrump:
Thank you for your opinon. You shouldn't apologize for your opinon, i like constructive criticisim, it's how i learn. You are right, i planed on making a "crawl" page with links to both, i have both flash and basic formats.
I'm glad it's not too intence because i really like it, but at the same time i don't to scare away customers.
