Default Page load speed on hostgator.

Hello!
Please help me people, who knows how fast (i mean page load speed) will work my website on hostgator if i have 50000-70000 daily visitors on it. All the pages are built on html, and the first page is pretty heavy, about 2MB. I just ran out of the bandwitch on my old hosting... i need about 2-3TB monthly... so thats why i decided to take webhosting with "baby" package from hostgator. Or i need to take definenetely dedicated server, witch is too expensive for me...??

If you need 2-3tb of BW then you will need a dedi because you will go over your resource usage first.

How is the page 2Mb big? Its massive.

Yes but your not allowed to use over 25% of the server usage for over 90 seconds because that slows down the server for everyone.

You would almost definetally exceed this limit, who was hosting you before?

Yes Calum is correct.

You would need a dedicated server for that many hits as you would hit the 25% CPU limit.

Very sad... My previous hosting company was on of the local small companies, you never heared about them. They just don't have any bigger packages to offer me, so i need to change the hoster now.

Ok.

Most hosts do impose a CPU and memory usage limit or else the server slows down for everyone.

You should really get a dedicated, whats the URL of your site? If you don't have enough money they you should consider using something like AdSense to generate revenue and with 50,000-70,000 hits per day you should earn profit even after paying for the dedicated.

Yeap! I just wanted know, will it be possible to host my site on hostgator with such package or not, and now i see that this is not possible. About Adsense: i just started to integrate it on my site, so i think i'll be able to pay for a dedi without any problems. Thanks!

Ok sounds good, HG do offer very good managed dedicated servers for a few hundered dollars per month and they also off an unmanaged dedicated for $75 per month if you are brave, but you will be able to get lots of support here.
