I've been with hostgator for over a year now, and overall, I've had a good experience with them. The uptime is good, and they are patient with a a couple of days of delayed payment especially since I am having technical problems with my current credit card right now, and I have to contact the bank before the card accepts the charge. Support has been good too, most of the time. A couple of things that bother me though:

1. I seem to be getting less value than I'm paying for, because hostgator's new plans have more space/bandwidth at the price I'm paying. I brought this up with support once, and was told that the new plans are only for new subscribers. I don't think that's really fair, because since I pay monthly, I renew my subscription monthly and I think I should be getting the new features/promos that are available each month. What happens now is that I pay as much as other people, but get significantly less specs. It's been bothering me for awhile now, I just didn't want to rock the boat.

2. There was a downtime today that tech_hostgator at y!M said was "network problems." The server was down when I got up at 7:30am (im in the Philippines, so my timezone is gmt-8.) At 10:30am when I got to the office, it was still down. tech_hostgator at y!M said that the server was down only for 30seconds, but when he tried to access my site, it was obviously still down. He told me something about how they're working on httpd. But I was still down for over 2 hours, so I think a refund is applicable? I've emailed hostgator about this, and am currently waiting for a response, I thought I'd supplement it with my opinions in the forum.

That's all really I hope my request is considered. Basically, hostgator is still the best host I've experienced so far (3 nightmare experiences prior to my move to hostgator) and I'm very grateful for that.

Downtime was 15 minutes or so, but problem was since it was routing issue as a result of a network upgrade some internet users weren't able to see their sites for up to 2 hours .

The new plans are for new clients and old client upgrades. You can upgrade to the next highest plan and would be eligible for the specials we are currently running.
