Outstanding thus far

I signed up with HG about 3 weeks ago after boucing around two different hosts in the past few months. I left the first due to their slow slide down from a great host to a mediocre one with very poor support. The second was a small startup who had some glitches getting their servers up and running and had absolutely clueless support.

I decided enough was enough and I was going to go with an established hosting company this time. I found HG after heavily researching on several forums and Google. Of the three finalists I had, HG impressed me with their speed of support replies, but mainly with the fact that their support people actually understood what I was talking about when I asked some questions that were a bit more technical then an average ticket would be. The responses were honest, accurate, and did not have a bunch of marketing BS rolled into them.

As of now I have had no issues with HG at all. To me that is the true measure of a great host. As long as I am doing my end of things (i.e. keeping payments and contact info updated, not abusing the servers, etc.) then I should never really have to deal with the hosting company. HG delivers excellent services and quality servers that don't require constant contact with support or excessive administration on my part. Simply put, HG is a knowledgable, honest, and top-notch host.
