OUTAGE :: vps1.hostgator.com
There was a DDoS attack on a clients VPS account which saturated the switch that the server is on.
All VPSs should be online within a couple of minutes. Let me know if you see any issues.

Open a support ticket and include the following : - Your site's IP address - Your Domain You can find the above details in the 'HostGator.com :: New Account Info' email you received once your VPS was setup. Ask them on which VPS your are hosted and they should give you the hostname like vps#.hostgator.com
