Our last hosting experience....

This is the news story I published on my site when my site was unexpectedly terminated by my previous host. Who, btw, refused to refund our money... we paid almost $300 for one year upfront and they did this after only two months... They refused and still refuse to give us a refund. They said we could close our account but we would NOT get a refund... grrrrrr They also had massive downtime and were constantly losing our data. Our backups were often corrupted because of them as well (they were downloaded corrupted). Since I run forums, and busy ones at that, this was simply NOT acceptable. They are just sheer evil I tell you. They're awful. :x

Babies and Bellies was unexpectedly forced to switch their web host provider by Global Internet Solutions: http://www.gisol.com. They claimed that we were causing a problem with their server. We found the problem and tried to rectify it, but they instead decided to not give us that opportunity and decided to lock us out of our own account. Why they decided to do this is unknown to us and we have not been able to get any response from them. We hope to have all this resolved no later than Monday.



We hope to be able to use our last backup, which was from May 15th, 2003. GIS shut down our site on May 16th, 2003 which means we will only lose one day of data. We will leave this page up until all issues have been resolved and we know that the site will work 100%. We are very confident in our new provider and have talked with them at great length about the situation at hand and they agree that GIS is in the wrong. They are working very hard right now to help us get our site back up and fully operational. All DNS's should be updated by Sunday night or Monday morning, meaning you all should have at least access to this page by then.
