Does anyone have any recommendations regarding these 3 variations on osCommerce?
I know there's not too much difference at the core, but does it make much difference when setting up installing? Your opinions? Thanks! |

They are all still osC. osC is the only free shopping cart I will install for clients, but given the choice of using osC or paying $200.00 for x-cart, none of my clients have actually asked to use osC. They would rather pay the $200.00, so I'm happy.
I would strong suggest that you look into x-cart before you comit to osC. The only real disadvantage to x-cart is the Smarty Template system, which you would need to learn to use x-cart. Once you get a grasp of Smarty, x-cart is totally easy to use and very configurable. The thing that makes me like x-cart is that I've been to x-cart sites and couldn't actually tell what shopping cart they were using, if I didn't know before hand. I've never seen an osC site that really knocked my socks off. |
