Default options for dedi owners to "be greener"?

I really love the new HG program to buy the RECs to cover the cost of powering/cooling the shared and reseller servers (in addition to the other pro-social things HG does). I was thrilled to learn about it and consider it yet another reason I feel good about working with HG.

As a dedi owner, I understand why dedicated server needs are not computed in the total. But without having clue one on how much the RECs cost or how to go about getting them, I'm wondering if it would be feasible for HG to offer dedi owners the option of "opting in" to the Green program?

I would quite willing to pay extra for having a dedi included in the REC calculations if it were an amount I could reasonably manage...don't know if this is feasible or not with how these things work, but I wanted to ask.

Thanks for the contributions HG makes.

I swear I read this as "deli" owners.

Couldn't quite figure it out, thought it might have something to do with Low-Carbs (14th day of induction, 12lbs so far - I Heart Atkins).

LOL...congrats on your progress thusfar, Hullabaloo. You may want to consider moving past induction within the next week or two to open up more food options and begin integrating your eating plan into your everyday life. The "magic" happens in OWL, where LC stops being a diet and starts being just how you eat, IMO. And come join us over at LCE for more help than you can shake a stick at!

LOL .... deli owners

With that level of weight loss, you must have been staying out of the deli's. Good work, keep it up.

oh...and one more thing....would it be possible to get some kind of idea of how to figure the power consumption of my dedi? 'cause i'm looking into buying some credits myself. i have done some searches and contacted the planet looking to figure it out, but they couldn't provide the info.

however, if hg is doing it, they must have had some numbers to use, so...
