Opinions Please

I am tracing a book, which is part of a logo, in swish. I do some flash/swish but generally do not incorporate much into the websites I do.

Can I get some opinions on this particular swish logo? Is it too jumpy or do you think it is smooth enough?

It looks smooth enough to me. As for whether it should be faster, I'd wait until you have page content more fleshed out before making any decisions on that. The psychology of time is such that the perceived quickness or slowness of an event can be strongly influenced by surrounding context.

good logo, but the menu is not aligned right with the menu background.

I'm using FF 2.0.0.14 with XP Pro

Not too sure on the design to be honest, the logo is cool but the menu bar doesn't align correctly and the mix of the pink menu bars and the green it changes to on hover does not go together at all.

Like i said, i really like the logo and think it loads up just fine but the rest of the site really needs tweaking.

No offense but it reminds me of sites from the late 1990's.

Thanks for all the comments on the logo, I think I will leave it as is.

I wasn't quite to the point of validating the menu alignment for all browsers (FF, IE6) as I was wanting opinions on the logo before I continued.

Upon deciding to leave the drawing of the logo as is based upon your comments, the menu alignment is now aligned in all browsers and working down now on the rest of the site.

As far as the menu color and hover change, the client loves it and requested it match the colors of his logo, which he is also very happy with.

And on the reminding of a site of the late 90's.......How can you state that when only 190 pixels in height of the site is done? The design has just started. Believe me, it is not even close to being completed, just wanted quick comments on the speed of the drawing of the logo.
