Mailing lists are fine provided they conform to the following 3 rules:
1: The purpose of your mailing list must be not be to disseminate information or links to information which would be in violation of our TOS. (basically this means you may not send anything illegal) 2: Every recipient on your list must have requested to be on it. (if your mail is unsolicited, it is classified as spam and is therefore prohibited as outlined in our TOS.) 3: Your list may not exceed 5,000 valid email addresses. Acceptions to this rule can be made, however. If you comply with the first 2 rules, but need to mail more than 5,000 people, send an email to sales@hostgator.com and mention that you need to exceed the 5K limit. Hope this helps! -Justin |
