[Open] AWSTAT

OK ... support says Webalizer is just too buggy ... I dunno ... worked fine for the last couple of years at my last ISP that used cPanel.

So anyway ... they are looking to install AwStat by May 26 according to another thread here. I asked about it during an IM sessin with support and asked if was going to be included or extra?

The answer was "...mostly it will be free."

Anyone have an answer to what this means? I have over 50 sites with stats that don't work .... meaning 50 clients that can't see any stats and are jumping mad at me. For months now. And all I can do is sit here and say "uh ... they're working on it".

Sorry for the delay in responding, but you may rest easy knoing that Awstats will be free for all users.

Well the 26th has come and gone .... and still problems.

I have over 50 sites and many stopped logging stats as of the 16th (2 weeks ago). Lots of unhappy clients.
I wish I knew what I could tell them

I would suggest to Hostgator to just disable Webalizer, and enable dns lookup in AWStats.
