Red face Oooohhhh boy....

I got some templates for a squeeze page I needed built.

Managed to get the page built but I am having hell getting it to work properly.

keywordsauce.com is the page,

keywordsauce.com/blog is the rest of it.

I thinks this has something to do with the way the site has been set up. Had someone to do it for and had to let them go. So, I am little stuck.

The page I am trying to upload has other components that just the index.html, there are graphics and an optin box and other components.

When I upload through cpanel I have:

1-Uploaded the index.html alone and got the text without graphics

2-Placed all components in a zipped file then uploaded to a newly created folder in the root (I think it was the root, maybe I need to upload somewhere else and point to the file)

Here is a screen shot of what the page is supposed to look like:

Hehe, I am sure this is easy for some of you, but I am just getting started here, hehe.

I know you are laughing, hehe, and that's ok. I would be too.

Is there any help for me?

Thanks in advance!

And I promise to pay it back to the forum!

A main page doesn't appear, only the directory index, and it looks as if there is no index.html or index.php page. Go to cPanel and turn indexes (sic) off.

What is the main page you thought you uploaded? Did you unzip the zip file, which can be done through cPanel's file manager?

The "root" is public_html/www (those two are the same directory, just with two names). You may also need to set permissions on the files.

Your blog page has no image links, though I don't know whether it's supposed to.

Ahh yes, I deleted the index.html before I uploaded the next one and just didn't bother to upload a readable page again.

I created a file for the zip as I could not load it straight into the root without one through cpanel file manager, then when I got it in there, I unzipped and it wouldn't work properly.

Thank you very much

Yes, it is supposed to have image links, but I suppose that is the problem I am having, getting those links in there. EDIT-Blog page is supposed to have image links? (Why would that affect my problem with a newly created lander? The blog is keywordsauce.com/blog along with the rest of the site and should not, or at least didn't befpre, didn't have nay affect on the sales/opt in lander)

But, shouldn't those links be in the index.html when it uploaded?

I did get the index uploaded but it had no images at all and looked like a plain text page.

Thanks for your help Gwyneth

I went back and uploaded the previous lander I had there:

1-select site in cpanel

2-click upload

3-browse for file on my computer

4-select "index" in the file where my page is stored on my computer

5-click "open"

6-page is uploaded

7-Page works fine

So this leads me to think that maybe I am not saving my newly created page properly?

Why wouldn't the links to the photos and graphics not be in the "index" file where the page is located on my computer?

Thanks!

OK, thanks for the help.

I have it now.

I needed to zip the graphics files individually before uploading through file manager.

I had zipped all of the files together and that just won't work!

Thanks Gwyneth!
