Online chat crashes a lot

Online chat is great, but only one problem. It crashes about 1/3 of the time that I use it.

I use firefox 1.5 BTW.

I don't think it has ever crashed before when I have used it but sometimes I think my connection is lost before I am even connected to that chat operator.

I don't belive HostGator has the program on their server though, so I wouldn't blame them for it's bugs.

I think this is a firefox issue to be honest with you. I use the chat quite frequently and out of all the time I have been with HG - I think it's only crashed a total of 2 or 3 times.

Like Busy said, its not an HG issue though; if I am not mistaken they use liveperson.net as their live support software/service.

It crashes for me almost every time I try to use it in Firefox. It also causes strange Firefox problems (in the other window) right up until it crashes.

As someone said, it's a Firefox issue, I think. Because my old host had the same chat client and it caused the same problems.

I've just learned to use IE if I need to use it.

But it's only on your firefox not on mine on any machine (Linux, Mac, Windows). Do you have any strange extension installed? I would uninstall followed with a clean re-install .... maybe it solves the problem.

Firefox 1.0 and I don't have a single solitary extension installed.

I have firefox trouble on it too, so I know to use Safari when I need it.
