One Week In...

I signed on to hostgator a week ago with the Swamp Croc package. I run 4 database-driven sites off one domain. I transferred all my files, changed name servers, and recreated/restored databases from my old host (ipower) myself because it didn't need nor want everything transferred.

The difference is night and day. Sites load quickly, FTP transfers quickly, support responds quickly, just a class company so far for me.

I am now just waiting for my old host to release my domain name and I am free and clear from them.

I could not be happier than I am currently with hostgator.

UPDATE: I just received an email from hostgator confirming that my domain had been successfully transferred to hostgator from tucows/ipower. I had just renewed my domain with ipower for one year before requesting the transfer to hostgator. The $15 cost added another year on so I'm good until 2010.

Still very pleased...
