odd question, wondering about phishing.

O.K. so I signed up for hosting with HG. I got 2 e-mails from them, which I thought was odd, and 2 different IP addresses. The first 7 numbers were the same on both, the last numbers were different. So when I clicked to go into the one not listed in my c-panel I received a warning that this may be a phishing site.

How did that happen when I signed up through a secure site. Just a little confused.

What were the IP's?

74.54.176.82/c-panel which seems to be the phishing site
and
74.54.176.114/c-panel which seems to be the correct one.

Some time ago, I remember reading somewhere maybe in revenue, where you can go to check on a phishing site.

I'm a novice to all of this, but it did raise a little bit of a concern for me.

That points to a HG Reseller server

74.54.176.114/c-panel which seems to be the correct one.

That IP points to a HG Shared Server

The Phishing warning is just because of HG's add pages

You should get in contact with Sales and let them know your account has been mixed up.
