Nudity

I was just wondering how much nudity we are allowed to show.

Can we (not the owner - but members of a forum hosted by HostGator), post "eye candy"? So girls in bras and panties. Or girls naked, but we edit the picture to just cover nipples and lower areas?

Is this allowed by HostGator? I've never known about nudity rules, so I'll ask here.

Any and all adult content is fine, as long as it doesn't violate any US laws.

So in other words, we can post nipples and lower areas? That is all allowed? (of course, all pictures would be of 18+ people).

Also, another question for you guys about rules. What about 'private servers'?

I guess they are illegal, but I am not hosting the files on the host, they are just shared on the forum. You guys said in the TOS that no forum can contain illegal activity, so it's a no? Not even if we don't host it, nor participate in it, just have the sections for it? Or should I shut down all of my private server sections now?

These forums are primarily peer support. The best option to get a definitive answer on questions regarding content would be to email sales at hostgator.com and ask there.

From other posts, the policy is pretty clear that no illegal content may be hosted on your account. Doing so can result in termination. It is your responsibility to monitor your forum and be sure nothing illegal is posted. Accounts have been suspended for linking to warez sites, for example, even when the files were not hosted with HG.

I have NO IDEA why you would knowingly associate yourself with illegal activities and be fine with it. Seriously, you need to consider the possible consequences of your actions. What you are describing is like riding in a car with a person you know just robbed a bank...
