Hi all,
I just wanted to post a quick note - we're deploying a new mod_security ruleset on our shared servers today. While we do incremental updates on a fairly regular basis, I've rewritten a lot of the logic in our rules, so it's worth making a public comment about it. This deployment really shouldn't affect most of you, as the new rules and conditions are pretty specific, but it doesn't hurt to make an announcement about it. If you see issues with 503 errors that start as of today, and they didn't previously happen, please PM or email me (jshanley@hostgator.com) so I can look at what caused the false positive. Thanks; have a good weekend everyone. |

Is the mod_security is enabled in reseller hosting as well?

Are these rules something dedicated server people can get copies of?

We are looking at a method to sync this to dedicated servers via cron/rsync or something similar. I'll try to test something over the weekend. Thanks.
