Positive Not a good experience [resolved]

I have been with Hostgator since May. I was told to use Sitebuilder first. Got a site built and up and running right away. Then I was trying to figure out how to put a cart on it. I was told to download Zencart and it would automatically be there. Then I was told that I had to upgrade my package so I had a secure SSL for a cart. So I did that. Then I could still not get Zencart to work. Then I was told not to use Sitebuilder that Zencart would not work with it. So now I have Zencart. I was told all this would be so easy. I have been practically in tears. I will probably have to hire someone to build my web site which I really don't have the money for. And since it has been past the 45 days - no money back which I'm not sure I want. I just want a web site up and running. I am not a web site developer. I did download Kompzer and was trying to work on my site with it but I can't get Zencart to show up in it. I am totally lost. I will however, say that the support response with tickets and with Chat have been very good. I have also phoned in different times. But I keep getting mixed info. If there is any help for any of this it would be appreciated. I hate to give a negative response but this is the only thing I know left to do.

I'm sorry to hear that you've had a negative experience and I apologize about the frustrations and miscommunications.

Do you have a ticket ID open with us? I'd like to take some time to review it myself and then if I can't provide you with an answer, get you an answer from one of our senior administrators who can help point you in the right direction.

Getting different scripts to work together can be a bit tricky, but it should never be this frustrating or complicated. When I have your ticket ID in hand, I'll make sure you get a resolution right away.

Hi Paula,

I just checked out your site and it looks like both ZenCart and your main web site (which appears to be built with SiteBuilder) are running fine. I'll reply on the ticket and we can work on the issue from there.

I have gotten good support now from Hostgator.

I appreciate the time they have taken to work with me.

I will say though that I wish it did not have to take this long to get the help I needed.

Also, would recommend telling people using Zen Cart that there is a book out there to use. I will buy it and maybe it will help. The ratings are very good.
