If by "edit their own sub domains" you mean access to allow them to create their own sub domains, then the only way is by giving them your cpanel username / password which you naturally don't want to do.

Is there no way to access the webmailer using SSL?
https://webmail.hostgator.com leads to an error message saying the following: Quote:

Nice email system. But when I try to create a new folder AND check the checkbox "Let this folder contain subfolders", the new folder is not created. No matter how many times I refresh the folders list, I still can't see the new folder. I can create a new folder if I don't check the checkbox, and that new folder actually can contain subfolders. Is there a solution for this, other than installing my own email software?

I believe the solution was to change the configuration parameter $show_contain_subfolders_option from true to false in the NutsMail configuration file config/config_local.php. The result is that the checkbox "Let this folder contain subfolders" is no longer displayed. You can create folders without encountering the error, and these folders can contain subfolders. My clients will not have problems, and I will not have to explain the nature of the problem to them. Thanks, guys. |

OK - Looks like I need to install Nutsmail to give my clients a good experience
![]() Which version do I need to get as a reseller? The 'personal' is for one domain but I guess all my clients are included in that domain set up? It gets confusing as 'commercial' is server wide unlimited usage. Advice please from those resellers who have successfully completed this task? Regards David

if you have a reseller account, you have access to roundcube, squirrel mail, and one other one who's name escapes me now. If you dont have a reseller account, you shouldnt be reselling in the first place

Hi Skyjumper,
I do indeed have access to them. I have a client who is complaining that accessing webmail is a long winded process and the webmail provided by hostgator has their ad-line on the pages. My understanding was that as a reseller I could install nutsmail or the free squirrelmail and then supply my customers with a similar direct login but branded with my logo etc. It is only recently that clients are asking about email as I suspect more and more are using blackberries and mobiles to keep in touch. Just for the record I have been a reseller with Hostgator since 2004 ![]() Regards David

I would recommend setting up google apps for your customers webmail experience. Its very easy to do, and works great. I personally use it for my webmail and calendar and I am a reseller.
