New Webmail over SSL

The new Webmail system has received rave reviews in the announcement thread (NEW Webmail System!). However IMO it is lacking one important detail, the ability to login and use it over an encrypted connection.
Is there something that is preventing HG from providing SSL to it? I would think it would be fairly simple to use your wildcard cert. Unless, I guess, if there is an application limitation.

Please, please, please, allow us to use the new webmail system over SSL.

I've suggested this many times in the forum before, but-- just install your own version of Squirrelmail (free) or Nutsmail ($30, what HostGator is using). You can have it on your own domain, completely customize it, and put it behind the shared or private SSL. And for resellers, all of your clients can use it too.
