New Web Design - Feedback Wanted

I just re-designed my web.

The site is for local (Denver, CO, USA) small business hosting. I tried to make something that looked clean and a bit professional.

Any feedback on the design would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there!

Looks good - really like your link buttons!

I just think that the ads you have all over your site take away from
what you are offering yourself.

I agree. I like to think that I can put google ads on my site and retire fat and happy by the end of the year... But, it does not work that way.


Google ads have been removed. I left a couple links on the sides for color. And any additional ads are on the Links page.

The site's fine, but I think I would ditch the word of the day (not just because todays is bad), just doesn't look quite right on a hosting site.

Site is DOWN..times out everytime. I'm using Firefox 1.0.6

I can get to the site. http://hostgator.com/s shows the server is up. My site monitor shows it is up.

It could be an ISP issue or Peering issue or some sort of DNS issue or something else. Try to ping www.neo-solutions.net and see if the address resolves.

BTW, I use Firefox 1.0.4, and IE 6.

OK, you want the good news or the bad news?

good news is I can see your site.. YAY

bad news is I could only see it AFTER turning off 'blockpost' my IP blocking component for OUTPOST Firewall!!!

I download lists from HERE your IP or server must be being blocked by their lists.

This is the exported line..(I'll make this a little clearer)

There are many organizations that create lists to block. It looks like some of HostGators servers are on this one. These lists can be troublesome because they are used to block access to sites that may only be sharing an IP address or even an IP range. And, sometimes the people maintaining the lists disappear and the lists do not get updated.

I use NetNanny and have in the past used ContentWatch and DansGaurdian. These are similar products that also block sites.

I have quite a large and 'aggressive' block list. But I sometimes run into dead ends with it, so I normally edit or exclude an IP here and there..once I excluded yours (the one above anyway) ALL works fine..And after all that...

The site looks pretty slick. I love that minimal functional style..
