New Service/cPanel Question

I'm already a member but it wouldn't allow me to post in the correct forum. My question is, I signed up last night and everything went ok. I do understand that I have to wait 24-48 for it to be complete. But, will it also take that long for my cPanel to start being able to be used? I thought you could start using that but I can not log in to it.

You can get access to your cpanel immediately using the IP of your server and your username writen in your welcome eMail sent from HostGator...

I did try to login that way and it just says "Login Attempt Failed".

Any suggestions?

You should contact live chat support to receive the status on your order and/or to find out if they have set up your cPanel account yet.

I signed up last night also. I was able to login to cpanel right after I received the welcome email (which came in about 10 minutes). I contacted support to have the skin changed (X3 is my preference) and it was done right away. So far so good.

Hmm, well I'm waiting for a live chat rep to connect. Maybe I'll get it fixed with them.

Update:

Got in contact with a Chat Rep and my issue is resolved!
