I've just signed up for a reseller account. According to the setup instructions, I created a new package. Now I have to set up a new account but I want the account to use the name I purchased the reseller account under. Of course, it says it's already registered. The instructions say once I create this account, I upgrade my reseller account to it. How do I create a new account and upgrade to it and keep the domain name I want to use? I guess I don't understand completely how this all fits together so any explanations would be helpful. Thank you.

I'm not to sure what you mean Karen.
I have a reseller account, and my username and password chosen upon registration does two things. 1) It allows me to login to my whm 2) It allows me to access a cPanel account Try logging into your domain.com/cpanel and you'll probably find your have no bandwidth/space. Login to your WHM and edit the reseller default package created automatically when HostGator setup your account. Edit it to allow you as much space/bandwidth you need. Then go back to your cPanel and everything should work fine if I have understood your question correctly. If not sorry and hopefully a member of staff can help you better! Mark |

Quote:
in WHM-> Account Functions-> Upgrade/Downgrade an Account select your reseller account and click "Modify", then select the package you've created and click "Upgrade/Downgrade"

Thanks for the help. That makes more sense to me than the instructions. I have it working the way I want now. I appreciate it.
