Cool New EMail Client Needed - DESPERATELY

The NutsMail BlueHive solution found at webmail.hostgator.com is one start but I for one can not possibly recommend any of the cPanel stock email clients to any of my clients - it is basically mandatory they move to Outlook, GMail for domains, or forward email to their current email address (bad)...

We need a new look and better functionality - it feels like the year 2000 or so, squirrelmail has been around forever and has always been annoying.

Thank you for listening - people please nod in approval and hopefully the Top Dawgs here at HG will listen!

I agree, but I wouldn't really call it HG's fault... the offerings are pretty slim.

Squirrelmail seems to be most popular and functional.

Horde is archaic... we'll see if cpanel updates to DIMP sometime...

Roundcube is still in its infancy and buggy (haven't used it in six months)

Zimbra is a good offering... but it's REALLY heavy on the AJAX and doesn't seem to perform great unless you have a kick ass internet connection. (my experience with my university account)

..what else... there are the odd others...

As I answered you in another thread, "you can install your own non HG branded webmail client if you wish."

Not sure why you mention Outlook as it has nothing to do with webmail.

RoundCube has recently been updated. Works quite well now.

@nwesource - There is also AtMail in free and paid versions that you can install.

It will be a long time until I give Roundcube another chance with real clients--the bugs were just far too numerous last time. Clients lost huge emails they had spent a lot of time writing, amongst other issues.

I like Roundcube. It's definitely better than the other options.
