I've been a webdesigner and programmer for a few years now and decided to start hosting the sites I make too.
It seemed like a good idea, so I tested out 3 accounts, HostGator, WebHostingBuzz, Site5 I opened all 3 accounts at the same time to compare staff response etc. Site5 didn't even setup my account for 3 days and were even slower with support. WebHostingBuzz setup the account with 12 hours, but NOTHING worked! HostGator setup the account within 3 hours and EVERYTHING has worked wonders ![]() I gave up on Site5 after they ignored my support ticket for 4 days. I gave up on WebHostingBuzz after being told to contact IPB, WHMAutoPilot, phpBB, PHPFusion.... apparently there scripts were all wrong in saying the SQL database couldn't connect (funny how they work fine here though lol) GatorHost have been GREAT with the online support, and I have got great advice each time. If your reading this deciding weather to use WebHostingBuzz, take a look in their forums for more unhappy comments by their members! There support is very bad. I'm glad I came back to HostGator. Because sometimes, you get what you pay for! A double thumbs up from me
