As we can now access the Hostgator templates directly from the new cpanel, is it possible for us not to have to log in separately to download them?
After all, if we are logged in to our cpanel we are already logged in so to speak. I couldn't find my login details, so had to request them from live chat. They reset my password, and I got the confirmation email. All was well until I tried to log in with the new details, but they won't work in my cpanel or to download a hostgator template. The strange thing is my old bookmarked cpanel login still works. (it has a different user name).I now after three conversations with live chat have got to contact support to get this resolved.

This isn't impossible, but the concerns at the moment are in regards to security. I don't think this will be implemented anytime in the immediate future. Unless someone here has a good suggestion for how to do that securely.
