I joined host gator just yesterday and ordered the business plan. Although I have not got my domain transfered yet, it still forwards to the right spot because I changed the name servers. I switched from 1and1 and see such a huge difference.

One - I talked to support and they were very helpful all the times even on technical questions. 1and1 doesn't offer chat or any decent support (not even tickets)
Two - So many features with business plan. I am able to use many web programming languages compared to only php at 1and1.
Three - Unlimited Bandwith, Unlimited Space, Unlimited MySQL, UNLIMITED EVERYTHING!! At 1and1 my website would crash so many times when using ftp, it made me so angry and this was the reason I switched.
Four- Upload and download speeds are so fast I only pissed my pants when I saw how fast my queue was getting processed in SmartFTP while only using 5 workers. (If I did that on my 1and1 server it would have crashed immediatley)
Five- I love cpanel, at 1and1 I was stuck with a crap control panel that offered no options.

Overall I am very impressed and I was recommened to use hostgator when I asked on a forum. 21 out of 22 people recommened me to hostgator which is very impressive.
