Hi there. I just signed up for a swamp account and in the little "message" box of the new hosting account signup form I mentioned that I would like to purchase a private SSL for the domain. (an existing domain that I just changed the nameservers on).
I want to get the SSL all in place before I install any ecommerce setups. Should I fill out the "request SSL" form and submit it? Or is that duplicating my request? The "open new account" ticket is showing as closed or completed. I want to get the ball rolling but I don't want to slow down the process by being a pest. Also, the account confirmation gave me a IP address ... is that enough for me to start FTPing my files over? Or I should wait for more login info? Support pages say to duplicate your files on the new host before the nameserver change goes thru, for a seamless switch. Thanks for any advice you can offer. Mimi |

You can start using the IP.
You should respond to the closed ticket and ask about the SSL. |

Thanks for the advice. I did enter a follow-up to the closed ticket, but no reply and the ticket still shows "closed."
Is it normal not to get a response a day later? I really wanted to work on the shopping cart over the weekend. |

If it says the ticket is closed do not expect a reply... post a reply to that ticket and it should say "open" again.

Thank you both. I will give that a try.
