Default Network Issues?

Is the Planet having network issues? I first noticed the problem trying to send/receive mail. Then I checked our main site and it wouldn't come up. I then checked our other sites, same thing. Then I checked other reseller sites that I know of still nothing. Last I tried hostgator.com and even it was unavailable until just now, which usually doesn't happen and makes me think something is going on with the network.

Same thing here.. intermittent outages.. slow response times.

Probably won't get any help here. I'd say this will be something that isn't going to be communicated down to the customers.

Might try sending in a ticket, but you'll probably only get a response once things are back to normal stating they don't see a problem.

Ditto. Our database sites and even WHM wouldn't load. I thought is was a server issue... but maybe not, having read this thread.

Same problem here. Extremely slow performance and time-outs.

Wow, as a brand new customer, it's pretty scary to see someone write something like that. Stuff like that is precisely why I left my previous hosting company. If there's a problem with the network, they should post it here immediately, with an ETA for resolution, or if they don't have an ETA, at least post regular updates.

Was a small network DDoS. What I was told when I called and it should be fixed

Generally the outages I described aren't long enough for them to take the time to reply and give ETA's about when it's coming back. They seem to opt for getting it fixed over the communication aspect. I wouldn't take this as a bad thing, as generally any host who tries to communicate the problem early on would just be speculating. Usually you don't know exactly what the problem is until you get it fixed anyway. HG has been ok with communication on extended outages.. not great, but ok. Thankfully these type of outages have been few and far between during my few years here with multiple reseller accounts.

Not to worry.. hope your stay here is a good one

I'm a reseller on celica.websitewelcome.com(67.18.218.194) and it has been down for almost 3 hours. It came back a bit in between but lost it again.

I got a response from hostgator that it has been network problems.

Just want to know if you had you server completly down

I hope it get back soon cause 99.9% is going down fast.

At times I've been down on one of my reseller accounts.. but not on that server. Mostly it's been intermittent slowness, and occasionally it's dropped out for a few minutes at a time.

It's gotten slow again lately, but it's still working for my customers.. thankfully.

Ok

Server is back again for sure but I think that my Internet provider can't resolve to it anymore.

I tried different things but hey, can't do anything more than wait for them.

I even tried by IP but can't connect to my IP but I can connect to others at hostgator..I am just amaze on how stuff can go wrong sometimes! I ask to people around in Canada and they can see my site. but not me in Quebec!

I'Il wait a bit to see but server is working find has I can see on hostgator.com/s/ and support tried it and was ok.

Our website (not on HostGator) experienced intermittent outages. Network Solutions website was reporting "widespread DNS problems" and it may have affected a variety of sites and locations.

I just had a "black out" on most of my domains hosted on "Navigator". But they all came back in about ten minutes on their own before I could get concern.
