Currently, we are having network issues that are originating from The Planet and its connections with Time Warner. Some servers may also be affected and users might notice some slowness.
We're working with our datacenter to get this resolved as soon as possible. However, this is a major attack and is affecting The Planet heavily. These issues are affecting our LiveChat system, as well as email support to some extent. Our support is readily available over the phone to provide updates and information as it becomes available. FWIW, I am in chat right now. Their turn around on my questions is about 2 minutes.. My first two questions where just replied with the URL to this thread that didn't answer my question (if it didn't answer my question the first time, why would it change the 2nd time support hit CTRL-V).
Apparently my shared server is on PLANET. I have only been with HG for 2 weeks now and I think I will be looking for someplace else to go. /rant |

Thanks for the notice. I noticed my site has been a little slow in the last 5-10, but my internet has been slow today so i thought nothing of it.

Hello,
This was caused by a focused attack at some of the bandwidth provider uplinks our datacenter uses. Because it affected some uplinks, if your ISP had you going in through that uplink, you might have had packet loss while other people could connect just fine. It turns out that our office ISP was one of the ones that had packet loss. We have worked with the our datacenter to get this corrected and we are providing support via all normal channels at this time: live chat, phones, and our ticket system. If you still can't access your site or if you are continuing to notice anything out of the ordinary, please contact us and make sure to include a traceroute from your desktop to the specific server/site in question. We can then work with our datacenter to get all of the routes repaired. Thanks for your patience during this time. |

The people who designed the email system we use, wanted to make sure that email would arrive, even if their were network issues. If the email server that was transmitting the message to our server was not able to connect, it will just hold on to the message and try again a little later.
So you might not get the email right away, but the odds are very high that you will get all the queued email over the next few hours. |

that is a complete mistake, Hostgator is very honest and has some of the best support that I have come across.
I was with lunarpages but eventually all my sites had been compromised and on asking them I was lied to and passed on from support person to support person. weirdwarp.com |

I have not been able to connect to my websites for a number of days now, all i get is the apache welcome page. I spoke to live chat and they said there was no problem their end but i still cant get on to my sites or cpanel. Can anyone help me.
