If you find one can you let me know to please, something that can handle a simple newsletter would even do, the restrictions on here are horrible.

I thought the only restriction was that you cannot send more than 200 emails per hour? That's not a bad restirction in my opinion.

I been using this http://mojo.skazat.com/ (DaDa Mail) for one of my clients since after I joined, I set it for 195 per hr., with no problems with his 1800 + newsletter subcribers, has an opt-in/out feature to. Didn't like to go back to CGI script, but have had no problems with it. It takes all day to send a newletter out though.....

Can't you customize your list? I thought I saw something about targetting how many people you send to per hour. If so, just do that, break it up into a couple of blocks.

Doesn't work like that on E-Com site, the newsletter is one small part of it, you also have the email query replies, the item notifaction, db/site error emails among others.
I could break my list down to say 75 (to be safe) but if I have a 2000 members that have opted in for the newsletter, think how long I will be sucking up resources for, instead of a couple of minutes a month (or every two months) it could be hours or more of hogging the mail server, and am sure you guys would be pissed if I was to hog it that long. As I'm on other side of the world I try do most emailing (like newsletter) when I think you guys are asleep, so as to not interfer with anyone, breaking it down will mean I will do it in your peak time so no one really wins ![]() Also if I hog the mail server for that long and get noticed the server could be blocked by third parties as a spam server |
