MySQL size limit

Hi,

It is written on Support page ( MySQL database size limit ) that MySQL is only limited to the cPanel's disk space.

How do I know my cPanel's disk space? Is it the same disk space that my plan has? In my case it is unlimited.

I'm assuming yes. Cpanel's space is the same as disk space!!

commonly, cpanel hosting are not limiting their mysql database size. there is no limit set to 10mb or 1gb kind of thing. You can have as large as you prefer, but the larger that it, the more cpu memory it will consume. Hence, make it practical and comply with the TOS for acceptable usage policy.

You need to watch out for your inode usage, most shared hosting has very limited inode usage. So be sure to ask that when you talk to support.

I recommend using live chat at the very top. Hostgator is known for thier great support and I assume they can give you a good answer.

Your cPanel disk space size would be the same as your hosting plan size.

For example,

If you are hosting on a Hatchling, Baby, or Business Plan, your MySQL Database size limit will be Unlimited.

Where as, if you were on a reseller plan, and you have allocated your cPanel 1GB of disk space, then your MySQL database size limit would be 1GB, minus the size of the information that is already being used on the cPanel account.
