Gators,
With the recent updates to cPanel came some new authentication procedures which appear to have caused a small amount of users to experience Fantastico install problems or issues connecting with phpmyadmin. We have spent the last 24 hours working closely with the cPanel team attempting to find a way to preemptively fix the issues, however since passwords are hashed there is no way for us to decode them to reset or a way to quickly find the accounts with the issues. The solution is quite basic, to resolve the issue simply log into your cPanel interface click on change pass and reset the password, relog into your cPanel interface and you should be able to access the broken features. Alternatively you can update the cPanel password through your billing interface. If you are still having issues please contact our support team so we can get them resolved for you. ![]() Cheers, Cruz Cranford Example errors: Fantastico: Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'username'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in /tmp/cpanel_phpengine.123456789.12345_sxy2SCq14 on line 1641 Access denied for user 'username'@'localhost' (using password: YES) |
