MySQL connection from external server

Hi!
After 7 months of good job, my script suddenly fails to work. It seems that external server (A) is unable to reach Hostgator one (B) to execute a simple insert query. I've checked on a third server (C) : A-C is working, B-C is working so I suppose it's not a general firewall rule issue... but what else?

2003: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'gator229.hostgator.com' (4)

I've already checked mysql access host...

They may be blocking the server

Are you sure the IP isnt being blocked?
Are you sure you allowed MySQL to take connections from it?
Do you have the correct DB users setup?

1 it's the matter... who's blocking the connection ? Hostgator or the other one?

it's possilbe the firewall didn't like something that went down and is blocking the ip. but it definitely sounds like a support ticketable issue.
