Default MySQL Access

I'm contemplating transferring many sites to HostGator.

Currently, I have (and need) external access to my MySQL databases for automatically syncing them to some local Access ones.

Is this going to be possible with HostGator?

Thanks

Steve

You mean just a remote connect to MySQL correct? If so yep that is fine.

I think so! I use MySQL-Front, MyODBC and AccessMySQLConvertor and in each case I just give it the server IP, login and password.

One other question - I have about 35 sites with my current reseller host provider. If I move to you, do I get any help with moving it all across?

Thanks

Steve

No problem, like GatorBen said. You will just have to put your server/network in the mysql access control list in cPanel. That's easy to do.

HG will help you move your sites if needed, but I'm not sure about 35... You can ask sales@hostgator.com.

Stef.
