I've got the same problem too, support has traced it down to a leve3.net router for me (which isn't their router). I'm on gator219, What is your site url, I would like to go have a look and see how it loads for me.

Default Same here with dedicated servers

Since a few days customers are complaining site are very slow. I MEAN VERY SLOW. Images of 130KB sometimes takes up to 30 secs to load. Personal I don't have any problems. It seems there's a problem with the route to the servers.

Most customers who are complaining have ntt.net hops in between. The delay seems to be between ntt and theplanet.

Please share the route to hostgators servers...

I think it is a problem with a router losing packets @ level3.net (so i have been told)

There's a problem with level3 from here. Trying to traceroute to THE-PLANET.car4.Dallas1.Level3.net times out after ge-6-16.car1.amsterdam1.level3.net in Amsterdam. Can't connect to website www.level3.net either from here.

My connection from here to HG is via above.net. This could explain why I can connect properly (can have download speeds up to 250Kb/s which is my max) but others can't.

For those who are experiencing problems, give the in between hops from you to HG please.

I have had this problem on 3 of my sites since the past 2 days.. very v slow page loading like a 20 second page will take 90 seconds +. however if i turn off my firewall all is back to normal i have 3 other pcs on my network and they all have the same problem with there own firewall on. strange as this is why has nortons firewall only just started slowing my 3 sites down on babycroc the rest of the web loads fast.. how many of my visitors have been experiencing the same thing (nortons users) the problem is the same in i.e and firefox.

any ideas what is going on here ? im not sure what i can do next.

thanks nukerocks

Support just sent me an email saying they had routing problems earlier and that it should be resolved now.

But it's not. I'm still slow.

Keep after them, routing problems are hard to find, they may think they have fixed it and didn't.

These types of problems are one of the few where more communication is better than less. (Normally, report it and let the fix it)

Hmm, got answer from support. "We apologize for the recent issues you are having and we are working to get this resolved." Sounds like they knew there were "issues".

They asked me to give them my IP address to run some tests. Perhaps everyone here experiencing problems should send in a support ticket containing their IP address so HG is aware of the problems and can run test to solve the problem.

Nothing heared from support yet. Unfortunately we had to decide to go elsewhere. The income I lose is the same amount of renting several servers elsewhere a day

I think HG isn't the cause of this, but they could (at least) inform me where the problem lies and give me an ATA or what they are doing to resolve it. Instead there's no reply at all.

To hear nothing reminds me of an exploit a couple of months ago, were HG told everything was OK, but after a few days admitted something was going on. I the meantime I didn't hear anything too.

I can't afford to do nothing any longer, so I decided to move elsewhere. Wish you good luck and hopefully it will be solved soon.
